The sense was felt seconds before the loud noise was heard. Of course, he was on guard first. There was a twinge of fear. A second where he froze still. An irrational response to his –admittedly rational, fear. Though that second past once he felt the aura was familiar to him. And it only took a few more seconds to realize who it was.

“Hope?!” Tortus got up rather quickly. There was a second of pause as he neared. His fear made this difficult, but for his dear young Hope he had to push past. He was knelt by her side. Large shaking hands checking for wounds. She had taken some rough tumbles with her teleportations before. Each time, he made sure she wasn’t seriously hurt.

“What…. What happened?! Did a greyface do this to you?”

A young girl looked down over the blue roofs and white walls that covered this island. Mafia Town was exactly the same as it had been when she left it. She proudly had her fists pressed to her hips with her yellow cape and hair waving softly in the gentle breeze. The child adjusts her trusty purple top hat with a bright smile and turned from atop the which surrounds the water spraying endlessly into the sky. She had just twisted on her heel, her left foot raised high and straight into the air ready to march on, when footsteps came from behind. The little girl softly set her boot down, mouth slightly parted in curiosity as she turned back to face the sound. Her brows pressed together and big sea-blue eyes found a dark grey hood and face obscured by a light gray mask. Hat Kid tilted her head in thought, the only other kids her age she knew was Mustache Girl, they weren’t on great terms, and her good friend Bow Kid. This one fit neither of them… There were those Subcon villagers that were around her size, wore dark cloaks… or… maybe were dark cloaks?… And that mask looked a bit like the Dwellers of that forest! Maybe they were related? Ah well, Hat Kid shook off her initial wanderings with a few blinks before stretching herself up to wave at the other girl, attempting to make her small body a bit more obvious as if the bright yellow cape didn’t already catch attention. Her mouth opened in a large smile with an steady inhale while she sought the other’s attention, tilting off onto only her left foot and throwing her right arm around to the side from the edge of the hardened red clay.
